Ennio Morricone will end “The 60 years of Music World Tour” next august 30th at Arena di Verona after another italian date on july 7th in Rome (Foro Italico). The great conductor will lead the orchestra “Roma Sinfonietta” with a choir made up of 75 people; special guest will be Dulce Pontes, a legend of Portuguese Fado.
The great concert in Verona will be his last exhibition in the “Arena”. “I celebrate 60 years of carrier as composer – Morricone said – I wrote more than six hundreds scores. This tour is totally different because I entered the classicals, like western soundtracks, and the music that I made for Quentin Tarantino“.
Morricone, 88 years old, got two “Oscar“: the first one in 2007 for “his magnificent and multifaceted contributions to the art of film music”, the second one in 2016 for the best score of “The Hateful Eight” directed by Tarantino.
Ennio Morricone concluderà “The 60 years of Music World Tour” il prossimo 30 agosto all’Arena di Verona dopo un’altra tappa italiana il 7 luglio al Foro Italico di Roma. Il grande direttore guiderà l’orchestra Roma Sinfonietta con un coro formato da 75 persone; al suo fianco ci sarà Dulce Pontes, la leggenda del Fado portoghese.
Il grande concerto di Verona sarà anche l’ultima esibizione del maestro all’Arena. “Festeggio i 60 anni di carriera come compositore – spiega Morricone – Ho scritto più di 600 opere. Questo è un tour differente dagli altri perché ho inserito materiale classico, come quello realizzato per i western, e anche musica scritta per Quentin Tarantino”.
Morricone, 88 anni, ha vinto due premi Oscar, uno alla carriera nel 2007 e un altro lo scorso anno per la migliore colonna sonora realizzata per il film “The Hateful Eight” di Tarantino.
